Major signs of end of the world

Translated by Dr. Faheem Bukhatwa

In the name of Allah most Gracious most Merciful.

Thanks be to Allah Lord of the worlds. And peace and prayers be upon the most honorable of all messengers,

Last week the Imam talked about the minor signs of the end of life. This Friday he will be talking bout the greater signs of the end of life. Talking about intangible matters and what will be in future towards the end of life has a number of advantages:

1.     It increases the level of belief (or iman).

2.     Some times some topics are repeated, but not necessarily everything that is said we all already know.

3.     To get ready for such events especially what ties with our present day matters.

The prophet said ((The hour (meaning the time of the end of life), the hour shall not occur before you see ten signs. ” and he mentioned the Smoke, the False Messiah and the Beast, The Sun rising from the west, the coming of Jesus the sun of Meriam, the Yajooj and Majooj (two destructive groups of people), and three lunar eclipses, an eclipse in the east, and eclipse in the west and an eclipse in the Arabian peninsular. And the last of which is a fire that comes out of the land of Yamen that forces people to be displaced to their termination))

If and when one of the signs appear the rest of the signs will follow soon like the beads in the prayer bead {or Misbaha} according to the prophet (may peace be upon him.). At the end of time there will be much bad and disapproved acts, a lot of persecution and transgression, and lack of justice. There will be a man who will lead this nation to the the better. According to the people of the Sunnah this man will be known as the Mahdi from the prophets family tree. A descendant of Fatimah the daughter of the prophet and the Hasan sun of Ali. For seven years he will fill earth with justice as it was previously filled with injustice. In his time, riches will be aplenty and religion shall be strong in the hearts and the enemy kept at bay. The Mahdi shall come from the east with the people from the east supporting him. He will end up killing three of rulers at the Kaaba. Each of them wanting to take the treasures of the Kaaba. People will give him allegiance at the Kaaba. Carrying black flags just like the colour of the prophet’s flag. There will be a lot of killing. After him there will be no more life. Possibly meaning a lot of fighting, bad and bedevilment. There is no doubt about the coming of the Mahdi. The hadeeth about him are a plenty and well documented and collaborated. Indeed, some even have a name for him and it is “Mohammed the sun of Abdul-Allah Al-Alawy and Husni. A descendent of Hasan the sun of Ali.”

Another sign is the false Messiah. A source of disbelief, misguidance cause of temptations and terror. The prophet; may peace be upon him warned that the toughest temptations in the entire history of humanity shall be the false Messiah. Because he is a human, and God will give him many properties not given even to the prophets. So, he is good at tempting and enticing people. One of those properties is that he kills someone and brings them back to life. He orders the sky to rain and it does; and earth to harvest and it does; and many more properties of the nature; response of the animals and things to his commands. Many people shall be spelled like magic by him. Those who follow him are the losers. We know not why would Allah give such powers to such a disbeliever, but it may be the big test. May Allah protect and guard us from such temptation which we may not be able to stand against.

Before the false Messiah appears Muslims shall be in a very good and powerful situation. Muslims and Romans will have peace agreement. And both they will join to fight a joint enemy against whom they shall win. Then a war shall break between Muslims and the people of the Cross and they shall win. Estanbol will be won by Muslims and while they are still counting their winnings, that the message comes out that the false messiah comes out. Things will get bad and famine strikes immediately prior to the appearance of the false Messiah (3 year), so when he does appear and shows some of the musicales he has, and claims to be a God people shall believe him. The prophet described in details what the false messiah will look like. He said he is physically broad bodied, reddish in color, with curly or fuzzy hair, short in height, barren (can not have children), he is a one-eye person with the word “Unbeliever or Kafer” written between his eyes which he will not be able to remove. Believers shall see it so clearly.

He shall travel round earth with such speeds. He shall enter every country round the world except Mekkah where the angels will prevent him from doing so. He will go to an area not far from Mekka called the Sebkhah. All unbelievers and hypocrites will leave Mekkah and join him and mostly shall be from women.

He will make things appear differently, like fire and water will appear as if they were heaven and hell. He makes people get mixed between fact and fiction.

Satan will help the false Messiah. The false messiah will ask an individual if do bring your dead father or mother back to life would you believe in me? The person will say yes. Satan will help him by appearing in the form of the dead person’s father or mother and say “My son, follow him follow him. He is your God.”

The false Messiah will appear from the land of Kharasan, from a city called Asbahan. In an area in the town called (yahodiah) or the Jewish quarters. Muslims will only know about him when he comes to a place between Iraq and Syria. The Jewish nation will be delighted with his appearance hoping to control the world through him and many of them will follow him.

When and how-long the false Messiah shall live on earth? The prophet peace be upon him said it will be when the days become longer. He will live 40 years. But the first day is like a year, the second day is like a month, third day is like a week and the rest of the days are like our normal days. The companions forgot about the messiah and wanted to know how to pray when the days get longer (one day like a year) pray just the five prayers. And the prophet said No, give the day what it deserves.

The end of the false Messiah will be at the hands of Jesus the son of Mariam. When he shall come down at the end of times appearing in Damascus. At the time the false Messiah will be heading an army moving towards Jerusalem combined with Jewish armies; where he and his armies shall be killed. That is the day when a tree will tell the Muslim “Here is a Jew hiding behind me, come and kill him”.

Protection from the false Messiah or (Dajjal).

The prophet said to keep away from the Dajal when he appears. Or

go to Mekkah or Madina where Dajjal will not be able to enter.

Learn the first 10 ayah of the surah Al-Kahf

At the end of every salah make the duaa “ask Allah protection from four, the punishment of hell fire, the punishment of the grave, protection against the temptation of life and temptation of death and protection against the bad which comes from the temptation of the false Messiah”.
