A Prayer for fogiveness

 

Lord, I ask your forgiveness for every sin my feet walked to,

or my hands reached for,

or my eyes gazed at,  

or my ears listened to,

or my tong uttered with,

or a sin into which I wasted  what you have blessed me with,

then I asked you for more despite my defiance, and you still given me more.

Then I used what you gave me to disobey you, and you covered up for me.

And I asked you more and you did not deny me.

And you still show more with your tolerance and mercy.

You are the most generous.

 

Lord, I ask your forgiveness from all sins . .

That I committed in light of the day or the darkness of the night,

In the presence of others, or out in the middle of nowhere,

In public or in seclusion,

When you are looking at me.

 

 Lord, I ask your forgiveness for each obligation you ordered me to do at day or night time, and yet I did not do intentionally or unintentionally, or unknowingly or due to forgetfulness or oversightness.

 

And Lord I ask your forgiveness for each and every act and recommendation of the final messenger Mohammad (peace and prayers be upon him); and yet I left it out because of an oversight or neglect or carelessness on my behalf, or because I forgot, or I didn't know.

 

Repent to Allah and ask forgiveness of Allah from all that He does not like of words and actions, hidden or out in the open.
